The Background
PVC Leicester is a local league volleyball club with teams in the Men's, Women's and Mixed leagues of the Leicester Volleyball Association local league. We play volleyball socially (we try not to get too upset if we don't win), and mix socially outside of matches and training.

History
The club started life in 1984 as LCCCVC (Leicester County Council Computers Volleyball Club). It was started by Liz Miles. As the name suggests, the club was formed from Liz's colleagues at Leicestershire County Council's Computer Section. Originally, the club had one team playing in the mixed league.

The club changed its name in 1990 to reflect the fact that most of the club members had either left LCC to pursue their careers or else had been 'recruited' from outside the council.

Tournaments
As befitting a team of friends and colleagues, the club has for many years entered teams into a number of summer tournaments. Initially, LCCCVC entered teams at Sandwell, the largest outdoor volleyball tournament in the world, which was held near Birmingham. From these beginnings, the club has now ventured into Europe, playing at Ertvelde, Belgium, for the past ten years, as well as in many beach tournaments in Britain.

The club welcomes ANYONE to join it and offers structured coaching sessions.
